Windows Mobile 6 and TELUS Mobility

What can I say about my mobile 6 device on the TELUS network? The device is great, and TELUS can go to hell. (I mean that with horrifyingly deep sincerity…)

I’ve had numerous problems in the past that I don’t want to get into too much detail about right now but this is what has always happened in the past.

  1. When registering a new device on your plan, expect to have your voicemail wiped, no reason… (bitch about it to earn 3 yr free voicemail!)
  2. In Addition to (1.) you will also loose your cellular plan, which is most likely discontinued forcing you to pick a different plan… not so bad right? wrong.. it’s a kick to the nuts because they bill a month in advance for the new plan, so your next bill.. doubled or more.. YAY!
  3. #2…. dido, they’ll do it to your data plan as well.. fuckers!

So, I figured I was a pro at this process. Tonight I was calling into TELUS to switch devices with my girlfriend (My HTC Touch doesn’t have a keyboard, her’s did!) So I call in at noon during my lunch break at work, the TELUS REP tells me “Our systems are currently off-line, could you call back in an hour or so when our system is running.” I say sure, guess I have no options, and hang up.

When I get home at 5:30, I call TELUS again, and explain what it is I want to do, as long as they can be done under 2 conditions;

  1. don’t delete my voicemail
  2. don’t wipe my cellular/data plans

Rep says, not a problem, we switch the phones, there is a pause, he says the data connections were lost.. (I should also mention before we actually got working on my account, he accidentally deleted someone’s Motorola Razer Phone, he thought this was Amelia’s phone, I said, Amelia doesn’t have a Razer, then he admits that he just deleted someone’s account…continue) I’m totally pissed off at this point. The Rep transfers me to a Data Specialist Rep. He explains that there was a problem in the system, and it’s probably a good thing, because I was on an old data plan. My response was, what is the new data plan, he says the same thing.. only it’s 15$ instead of 100$.. I pause.. think to myself.. WHAT? I ask the rep, since when has it only been $15.00? I’ve been paying 160$ for both phones data service for 2 years now. The rep replies to me “since November” I FREAK OUT!

Why am I being charged $160.00 a month, when other people are getting it for $30.00? (I have 2 phones, so it would be $30, currently the one phone is 100$ data and the other is 60$ data) that means I spent $480.00 when I could have gotten away with only $45. CAN I GET REIMBUSED PLEASE???!!!!!

Think I could squeeze a red penny out of them? not a fuckin chance. That is damn robbery! that money would look so much better in my pocket then theres
